In April, Victoria's unfair electoral donation laws were struck down by the High Court. Right now, Victorians are heading towards a state election without knowing who is funding the campaigns competing for their vote.
Victorians deserve a fair and transparent electoral funding system we can trust.
Because democracy only works when voters can see who is trying to influence it.
That’s why we’ve written an open letter to all members of the Victorian Parliament. Together, we’re calling on them to:
1. Restore transparency & disclosure immediately.
2. Ensure a fair playing field.
3. Commit to real reform.
Negotiations on new transparency laws have stalled between Labor, the Liberals and the Greens. That’s why we need to show them how urgent an issue this is for Victorians. As well as our open letter, we've written to parties and candidates calling on them to publicly disclose any donations made since 15 April on their website to ensure voters have the transparency they deserve.
Until we see real reform legislated, will you add your name to this letter now?
The more people who sign it, the clearer the message is to Victorian leaders.
Democracy works best when every Victorian believes their voice matters more than money.
That's why we need an electoral funding system that is transparent. An electoral system that is fair.
An electoral system we can trust.

We’re calling on all members of the Victorian Parliament – the government, opposition and crossbenchers to:
1. Restore transparency & disclosure immediately: The mandatory disclosure of political donations must be urgently reinstated to protect the integrity of the November 2026 state election and be retrospective - because the public has a right to know who is funding political campaigns.
2. Ensure a fair playing field: Reforms must not favour major parties, and wealthy donors must not have more influence over politics than ordinary people.
3. Commit to real reform: Victorians deserve a transparent and fair electoral funding system. The Parliament must commit now to legislating a robust, expert-led, transparent, inclusive and independent process with public consultation to take place immediately after the election to deliver reform that lasts.
Democracy works best when every Victorian believes their voice matters more than money.
That's why we need an electoral funding system that is transparent. An electoral system that is fair.
An electoral system we can trust.
